Today was our first full day in the city so we decided to go on a long walk to familiarise ourselves with the area.We walked down the very steep hills from Haight Ashbury to Market Street - a road that took us all the way into the city. We think we went through a couple of less desireable areas by walking this way, and San Francisco locals will probably tell us so, but it gave us a bit of an idea of the layout of the central districts.

Once we got to the waters edge, we discovered an organic farmers market so bought Carla a few Apu's (apples) and some raspberries before heading back into the city's financial district.
We took a few photos of the skyscrapers including the well-known pyramid building shown on the left here.
After that, we jumped in a cab and had lunch in our house.

This afternoon we took a car ride down to try and get a good view of the Golden Gate Bridge, but the weather wasn't all that nice. The sky was pretty bland as you can see from the photo here. But the drive was nice and we got to see some huge houses in what we think is the posh part of town down Lyon Street and around the Palace of Fine Arts buildings.
Now we're back in our little house watching Family Feud, enjoying a quiet beer or two and thinking about what to eat for dinner.
We both really like San Francisco so far.
