San Francisco

After a short drive from Fresno we finally made it to our main destination, San Francisco.

We're staying in a rental house for the next 7 days in a place called Haight Ashbury. It's where the hippie movement was quite prevalent back in the 60's, and a stroll down the high street earlier today still showed evidence of its liberal history.

Plus there were some killer recycled and vintage clothing shops so we'll be back down there with the credit card over the next few days.

After buying a few groceries we headed back up the hill (a typical San Francisco type hill - ie very steep) and settled into our home for the week. Mandy has already discovered that she has VH1 on the cable TV, so can watch her favourite show - "Rock of Love - Charm School" with Sharon Osborne. The first photo is of her and Carla sitting on the sofa in our living room.

We've cracked open the Kettle Chips and are currently enjoying a bottle or two of "Modelo Especial", a Mexican Beer and in my opinion one of the best (if not THE best) beer in the world.

As you can see from the photo, Carla also likes the odd drop of Cerveza. That's our girl...
