Today we spent our first full day in America. After a 14 hour sleep (16 for Carla) we woke up, Carla had some breakfast which she shared with the floor and we set out for a walk around Santa Monica.

Towards the end of the day we also took a drive down to Malibu to try and find Tom Hanks. Unfortunately we never managed to find him, but we did get to see a very nice sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
This is the ferris wheel from Santa Monica Beach. Apparently it is completely powered by solar energy, but the bloke who ran it called Carla a boy so we didn't go on it.
