It took about 3 hours to get here from Los Angeles and Carla was an absolute angel (as usual). However she was a little bit hungry along the way so we stopped at a place called Baker where we got her some macaroni cheese and mash which you can see her tucking into here.

Our little suite in the resort is very plush. We have 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, a bath in the bedroom, double walk-in shower, a fireplace, kitchen area with microwave & oven etc, and a couple of huge plasma TV's. We feel quite spoilt, but seeing as we're in Vegas we figured we may as well do it properly.

Carla settled in straight away by enjoying an apple on the sofa and then wiping her sticky fingers all over the rest of the room. Housekeeping have since come and removed most of the handprints.

Today we took a walk along the strip to see the sights. We passed the Bellagio which I am definitely bringing Mandy to stay in next time we come to Vegas. Reminded me of the final scene from Ocean's 11 where the guys are standing along the edge of the water at night after completing their job with the beautiful 'Clair De Lune' by Debussy accompanying the dancing fountains.
We also went to New York New York, passed most of the other well known casinos, saw the huge bronze lion outside the MGM Grand (which Carla pointed at and said "dog"), popped into Circus Circus and then had something to eat in the Fashion Store area.

Carla then wanted to walk around for a bit, so we found a big open area where she could run around to her heart's content. She loves climbing up and down stairs these days as well, but found these ones outside the shops a little too challenging.
Now Carla is back in bed and Mands and I are settling down on the sofa for an evening of cable TV and preparing for a special day tomorrow.
